Likewise Ministries is committed to helping ease food insecurity in our community while striving to share the love of Jesus with everyone we meet. From August 2021 to today, we have provided over 10,000 hot meals to those in need. Through our "Plates & Playbooks" program, we have fed and had the opportunity to minister weekly to 18 different school teams during the duration of their season over the last several years. We have also given out over 225 canned meal bags to the community, provided several hot meals for other area non-profit organizations, hosted an ESL class (English as a Second Language) for an annual Christmas gathering and provided over 50 gift baskets for the ladies at the Douglas County Homeless Shelter. In addition, we have handed out nearly 100 Bibles to people in our community and have been honored to provide over 500 meals to individuals living in encampments and extended-stay facilities throughout the area. Last August, we launched our "Workday Wednesdays" program which hosts students from a local high school's Program for Exceptional Children for a weekly CBI trip (Community-Based Learning) as they work to obtain life skills and employability skills and we are very excited to announce our newest program, "TNT" (Tuesday Night Transformation), which is a Bible Study and hot meal available to all high school students and meets every Tuesday evening at Christ Cutz BBQ in Douglasville.
- Together Tuesdays is a weekly community dinner created for Douglas County School System students and their families. Held every Tuesday evening at Christ Cutz BBQ in Douglasville, this program offers more than just a hot meal—it’s a place for fellowship, connection, and care. Families are welcome to dine, laugh, and be encouraged. Transportation is available for those in need, thanks to our local church partners. Join us at the table—because we’re better together.(This program is currently under construction.)

An outreach of Likewise Ministries, Plates & Playbooks provides hot, nourishing meals to local athletic teams across Douglas, Carroll and Paulding County public schools. Whether it’s pre-game fuel or post-practice recovery, we’re committed to serving student-athletes both on and off the field. Through food, encouragement, and faith, we equip teams to play with heart and live with purpose
