Georgana Arnold Founder/CEO
I’m Georgana Arnold and I am the Founder and CEO of Likewise Ministries. I was born and raised in Douglasville, Ga., and I have been married to my husband, Marcus, for five years. Just after we married, Marcus was laid off from his engineering job due to the pandemic and we started a small barbecue business, mainly catering and doing events, and finally put down roots in 2024 when we opened a restaurant in our hometown. We have five children ranging in ages from twelve to twenty years old and we live a busy, messy, beautiful life while striving to keep Jesus Christ at the center of everything we do.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education with a Concentration in Voice from Georgia State University and I taught Chorus in the public school system for twelve years with ten of those being in Douglas County. Ten years ago, I opened a business in the direct sales space which allowed me to step away from my teaching position and spend more time with my children. Working from home also enabled me to have more time to do the things that fed my soul.
I volunteered at the Good Samaritan Center in Douglasville for over six years and have served on the Board of Directors for the last several years. Why Likewise? My husband and I are passionate about serving others. We believe in the commandments Christ gave us to love God and love others. The mission of Likewise Ministries is bringing a hot meal and hope to those in need and we are dedicated to that mission. Our prayer every day is that, as we seek to serve our neighbors in need, they will know that they are seen, they are loved and they matter in this world. “Whoever has two coats is to share with him who has none and whoever has food is to do likewise.” Luke 3:11
